Where will I find a
Motorcycle transport service

now that you’ve found a bike you want to buy? Finding a motorcycle transport service should be considered before you travel for miles to look at a bike. When I started to look for a Vespa on EBay, I checked the location first and then got a quote from a motorcycle transport service.

Here a few tips:

•You should check out prices first so you can manufacture the cost into the total the bike will set you back. Also, you’re in a better position to negotiate a good price if you haven’t committed to buy yet.

•Don’t rely on a friend or family to help you to transport a bike from anywhere in the UK to your front door. If the bike drops you’ll be left to pick up the bills. It’s also potentially very dangerous. Chances that they will have the right gear to secure the bike are very slim.

•Any shipping service should include full insurance for the bike from pick up until they deliver it. This shouldn’t cost you any extra.

•Always ask how long it usually takes until they can do the job. These transport companies often wait until they have more than one job in the same area and then they deliver. This means your bike will be picked up in relatively short notice, but it will be stored with them until they deliver it to the destination. This will obviously differ from location to location.

A list of motorcycle transport service firms will be published here shortly. If you provide a service and want to introduce your business here, please contact me.
